Introduction
This 9-day Kilimanjaro hike takes you through the Lemosho route (trail), starting off your hike through a beautiful and remote rain forest, with good chances of seeing wildlife. This trail is nothing other than spectacular. It is considered the most scenic up the Kilimanjaro and with extra days for acclimatization, chances of successful summit-ting are higher than ever.
On this day you will be picked up from the airport either Kilimanjaro or Arusha Airport and be driven to Tulia Spa & Boutique Hotel. Once you have arrived and settled in, your guide will arrive to brief you on the hike and what to expect day by day. They will also be checking if you have all the necessary gear for the hike.

At midnight, 12:00 am, we’ll continue our way to the summit between the Rebmann and Ratzel glaciers. You’ll head in a northwesterly direction and ascend through heavy scree towards Stella Point on the crater rim. This is the most mentally and physically challenging portion of the Kilimanjaro trekking.
At Stella Point (18,600ft), you will stop for a short rest and will be rewarded with the most magnificent sunrise you are ever likely to see (if the weather permits). From Stella Point, you may encounter snow all the way on your 1-hour ascent to the summit. At Uhuru Peak, you have reached the highest point on Mount Kilimanjaro and the continent of Africa. Faster hikers will see the sunrise from the summit.
You may need gaiters and trekking poles for the loose gravel going down. Mweka Camp is situated in the upper forest and mist or rain can be expected in the late afternoon.

EXCELLENT Based on 4 reviews Posted on Lianne DijkTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I had an amazing safari experience with Borbo Safaris. From the very beginning, Rebeca and Emanuel welcomed me like part of their family I really felt safe and comfortable! Emanuel was honest and clear about what to expect during the safari, which I really appreciated. Communication was open and straightforward, making everything easy and clear. During the safari, I saw all of the Big Five and many other incredible animals, surrounded by stunning landscapes. I joined a group safari and spent the days with a lovely group of people. As a solo traveler, it was a great way to meet others. The guide was fantastic, always listening to our interests and making sure we saw as much as possible. He worked hard to give everyone the best experience. In short, it was an unforgettable adventure. I highly recommend Borbo Safaris to anyone who wants a genuine, caring, and amazing safari experience.Posted on Emanuel JulianTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
